Even if nobody asked….
1. At age 45 James Patterson retired from being an executive at a high-ranking ad agency to commit to writing. 30 years later he has sold more than twice the number of books as Stephen King and trails only JK Rowling as the richest author in the world. It’s not where you start. It’s where you go next!
2. Authority is given to you to SERVE not to BOSS.
3. My social media feed was loaded with ads for a Buckwheat Pillow Wednesday. I’d never heard of such a thing but that didn’t stop me from owning one a day later. Proving again that ads create DEMAND, not produce SUPPLY. Anyway, I love it so far.
4. “How do you get a one-armed man down from a tree?……….You wave at him!” 😂
5. Be careful when choosing what you’re proud of because the world has every intention of using it against you.
6. I think I’d apply for a sanitation job before I’d apply for ANY job working at an airport.
7. Quote of the week: “Show me what you need, and I’ll show you how to live without it.” – Will Burgess
8. If you can’t win on SKILL, win on EFFORT. If you can’t win on TALENT, win on PREPARATION.
9. Late nigh show host, Stephen Colbert just learned that CLAPPING doesn’t keep a comedian employed. Only LAUGHING does that. Good riddance. Take the rest of them with you please.
10. My wife at her best: Can’t get an Uber fast enough on Hanover Street (North End) so Trish marches down the crowded street looking for any black SUV she can find. She comes upon one and taps on the passenger window. The guy rolls the window down. She smiles and asks if he wants to give her a ride. He agrees. She hails us to come on up the road and we pile in. The guy gives her his cell for future driving needs and asks her to put his name in as Greatest Driver in the World. She grabs his phone and stores her contact name, Best Customer in the World. He drops us off after an entertaining ten-minute commute and my wife hands him a $100 bill. He refuses. She wins. Five minutes later she gets a nice text from him telling her Jesus is King. Such a God wink. Of course, the train was 20 minutes late.
Thanks again for stopping by, you rock!
