Even If Nobody Asked

Even if nobody asked……

1. “If you are calling with a medical emergency please hang up and dial 911” No way! Really? I hadn’t thought of that. And your menu has recently changed? Wow. Just like it did the last time I called? Who knew?

2. Whoever can tolerate the most UNCERTAINTY will eventually win.

3. I’ve often skipped over buying a shirt because when I see L/S in the description I see it isn’t my size, M (medium). Recently I’ve noticed this only happens with Long Sleeve shirts. Yeah, I never said I was THAT smart.

4. When a politician uses the word “folks” my corruption detector goes off like a Cat 5 hurricane.

5. One of the greatest mistakes we make is to think about our life, our wealth, or our possessions as if they can help us predict the future. They can’t.

6. That dude in the TV series House does not have a real limp and he isn’t even American. I found this out because I recently watched the excellent series The Night Manager. It came out in 2016 but I just learned about it. If you’re looking for the best series that came out last year feel free to ask me in 2032.

7. Dumbest advice ever? “Follow you heart”. NO! You should LEAD it, not follow it.

8. “Every loving thought, attitude, or action (no matter the situation!) in your marriage can become another way for you to say, “I love you” to God.”

9. Don’t wish for more TIME, wish for more FOCUS.

10. When the on-hold message says my call is “very important” and you pick up 10-15 minutes later I start the conversation with: “How long would my hold time have been if my call WASN’T very important?” I do not recommend this as an effective conversation strategy.

There we go, another Saturday rant in the books. Love to see your comments and always appreciate those who share the post.
