Even if nobody asked…..
1. My grandson Mac runs up to me and shouts with enthusiasm “It’s my birthday today, Papa!”. I ask him how old he is, he replies, “I don’t care!” and runs off. Maybe we all need to think like Mac on our birthday.

9. As I celebrated my daughters 34th birthday last week a longtime family friend was marking the passing of her 34-year-old daughter on the same date a year earlier. I don’t know how some people continue to breathe over such hardships.
