Even if nobody asked……
1. “Tell me about your most recent boss?” The one single answer that disqualified more candidates from being hired than any other in my 3+ decades of interviewing people. Be careful with that one, kids, it’s a trap.
2. We live life FORWARD, but we can only understand it BACKWARDS.
3. When couples affirm the command “Till death do us part” at a wedding ceremony I think they process the commitment as DIVORCE when the real commitment (value and challenge) is in SICKNESS (and death).
4. With email marketing, it’s best to give away the WHY and sell the HOW. (HT: Donald Miller)
5. EVENING prayer aims to give the soul the same peace SPIRITUALLY that a night’s sleep gives the body PHYSICALLY.
6. Florida roads are at least ten miles an hour faster than New England roads. Very quick pavement down there.
7. Asked an MRI tech the other day which music genre was the most popular with patients. Her answer kind of surprised me but lined up exactly with my top 3: Christian, Country and Classic Rock. The three C’s!
8. The best lie is the one closest to the truth. Be alert for those.
9. The Red Sox have a top prospect in the minors named Jhostynxon Garcia. His nickname? The Password. Absolutely perfect.
10. My wife Trish has had to endure quite a bit of chemo brain from her husband the last few months. It gets pretty wild at times. The other day I was on a neighborhood walk and found a credit card belonging to our neighbor across the street. On my return route I climbed the steps to their house and rang the bell. I suddenly hear shouting and panic coming from behind me. It’s my wife coming down our driveway yelling that I’m at the wrong house. I tell her I’m returning their credit card. “Oh no, why did you take their credit card? Stay right there, I’ll help you cross the street”. Yup, been a weird run of things lately.
Thanks as always for reading, commenting and SHARING.
