Even if nobody asked…..
1. After I had three girls in a row I took to defining it as “Three Weddings and My Funeral”. A good friend just had his third straight girl. He’s 37 so I’m not sure that reference holds for him.
2. “Hatred is often the compensation by which a frightened man reimburses himself for the miseries of fear.” Let’s stop being afraid so much.
3. There have always been different rules for Lebron James but physically grabbing a referee and not even being ejected, never mind suspended, is the most glaring example of all. Appalling.
4. My favorite bible right now is the NKJV Spirit Filled Life Bible, 3rd edition. GREAT study bible. Would make a nice Christmas gift for someone. (Not me, of course.)
5. “If you’re looking horizontally for what can only be found vertically, suffering will pick your pockets and leave you empty.” Whoa!
6. My nephew and his wife had their first child this week. The baby girl weighed in at nearly 10 pounds. My wife’s reaction? “They had a three-month-old?”
7. I like novels written by men more than by women but, wow, 80% of novels seem to be written by women nowadays. Come on fellas, let’s go!
8. Speaking of which, nearly 60% of current college grads are women. Where’s the cry for Degree Equality? Then again, 90% of workplace fatalities are men. Where’s the call for Workplace Death Equality? 😎
9. Song you really like but the lyrics don’t tell a very pretty story? One of many for me is Dirty Work by Steely Dan. Yours?
10. People who decorate their property for Christmas have a special place in my heart. Such a generous act, IMO.
