Even if nobody asked…..

1. Definition of a pessimist: They denounce a policeman for killing a peasant because they feel the peasant ought to have killed himself.

2. Yes, the Patriots played an easy schedule, but by now they’ve played half the teams in the NFL, gone 8–0 on the road, 16-3 overall and beaten three AFC playoff teams – two by double digits. They’re good. Win-in-Denver good? I’m not so sure.

3. Anxiety is unfocused fear.

4. “Continuing to believe the same thing, even in the face of new evidence to the contrary, is the definition of insanity—except in politics, where it’s called leadership.” – Scott Adams (RIP)

5. On a highway, the middle lane is your best friend.

6. When I read novelist Pat Conroy, I question whether I have enough talent to write my own name well.

7. The greater the fear of the Lord, the less there remains the fear of anything else.

8. “Pain is water, of a drowning kind. You waterboard awhile, come up for air, go back down. You’re afraid you’ll die, and then you’re afraid you won’t.” — Barbara Kingsolver, Demon Copperhead

9. Sit at the bar if you want the best service in a quality restaurant.

10. A wife tells her husband, “Go to the store and buy a gallon of milk. If they have eggs, get six.” He comes back with six gallons of milk. When she asks why, he replies, “They had eggs.”
