Even if Nobody Asked……

1. My wife Trish got hit in the face with a guitar pick thrown by the lead singer of Better Than Ezra the other night. Some fans live for these moments. Said wife, lives for retaliation. I quickly restrained her in what people around us hopefully mistook for dancing. The show must go on!

2. Change is hard because people wear themselves out. What looks like laziness is often exhaustion. Be careful not to misdiagnosis change.

3. Conversational suicide missions: “You don’t understand” or “I understand how you feel.” Two sides of the same coin. A coin you should lose right away. It only pretends to have value.

4. Failing to pray is a failure to treat God as God. It is a sin against His glory.

5. I don’t care if it’s “eight-way tied”. If it was made correctly shouldn’t two or three have done the job? No, you don’t want to shop for couches with me.

6. “Lack of self-confidence can often be traced directly to mismanaged memory.” Your memory lies.

7. The trouble with people who mean everything they say is that they think others do as well.

8. When we do not enjoy, savor, love, laugh and delight in the LITTLE things we risk losing the ability to delight in ANYTHING. Gratitude is a practice.

9. The BEST book I read last year was Trust by Hernan Diaz. The WORST book I’ve read this year is In the Distance by the very same Hernan Diaz. Go figure.

10. I’ve noticed that to get a near viral response on social media you only need to post something that is factually wrong. Sit back, watch the floodgates open. People prefer to CORRECT over ENCOURAGE by a factor of like 500-1. Go ahead, try it sometime.

Let's go people! Fire up the comments and please share. Thank you.
