1. Only THREE teams in the AL have winning records on the road and NONE in the AL East. Bad teams abound in ’25 it seems.
2. Just before the Red Sox traded Devers they traded a young pitcher who is now 10-2 (low-3 ERA) for the Brewers. They got a draft pick in return. The player himself was a 1st round pick a few years ago. Make it make sense, please!
3. David Hamilton has pictures, right?
4. Roman Anthony has a near .400 OBP but his ground ball rate is 55%! That’s bad, BTW. Needs to be closer to 30%. When that happens……yikes.
5. Heads up: Marcelo Mayer has not played a game after 8/1 in the last two years. If I were a betting man I’d suggest that streak reaches three. Not good.
6. Watching the Sox on the NESN app is awful, just terrible. Makes you login every other day. Fast-forward and rewind are clunky. The interface makes me look handsome.
