Even if nobody asked…..

1. Read this the other day: Out of 100 people working from age 20 to 65, 1 becomes rich, 4 become financially independent, 5 are still working, 28 are dead, and 62 are broke. If accurate, pretty grim.

2. Best novel I read in 2024 was The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. The Lost Man by Jane Harper was a close second. Tom Lake, Ordinary Grace, and Demon Copperhead all made my top-10.

3. “We do not love people so much for the good they have done us, as for the good we do them.” Do something good for the people you may not like all that much.

4. You can’t work SMART until you’ve worked HARD.

5. You may write them as pajama’s, but every sane New Englander knows they’re really called bajama’s.

6. The rich have money. The wealthy have time. It is easier to become wealthy than rich.

7. Doing one thing differently is often the same as doing everything differently. A BIG idea in life.

8. Life is too precious to waste WISHING that things beyond your control would change. PRAYING is a different story, of course.

9. “Does anyone have a better BAD idea?” – Breakthrough question not asked enough in meetings.

10. My aim as a CEO was not to help employees make a more successful LIVING but to make a more successful LIFE. Lead the whole person, not just the 40 hour version of them.
