Even If Nobody Asked

Even if nobody asked……

1. Telling someone “As soon as possible” is telling them you don’t care, or you don’t want to do something. Better to say NO or name a delivery date.

2. Just finished a seven-day (168 hours and seven minutes, but who’s counting?) water-only fast. What I learned is that my MOUTH screams for food way more than my STOMACH does. I’m done answering my mouth. I hope.

3. I’ve been a driver for 48 years and I’m still not willing or able to operate a motor vehicle wearing a hoodie. That superpower is apparently reserved for drivers with less than 5 minutes of driving experience. Why kids, why?

4. I’ll cheer for Ohio State Monday night but only with one hand after learning that the salaries for their DEI enforcement staff alone is enough to pay the full tuition for 1,000 students.

5. “Your prayers don’t rely on your belief in them being answered.” – Tim Hatch

6. The other day, I told a waitress “Thanks for your service”. So now it seems I commission workers in restaurants. I’m good like that.

7. Since people remember the last thing they heard always deliver BAD news FIRST and good news last if you want to leave them uplifted.

8. If you wear a mask or face covering to a PROTEST, you just signaled RIOT.

9. Telling someone “You’re NOT listening” (especially using your CAP LOCK voice) will not improve their listening OR their opinion of you. How about just making yourself more listenable?

10. “Dean, please don’t email me, just text me.”

“But Trish, a few weeks again you said to put it in an email, that you get too many texts”.

“Yeah well, I changed my mind. I do that. You should know that by now.”

“OK, got it, text, not email.”

“Yeah, unless I tell you to leave me a voice mail. Then just do that.”

“But your voicemail box is FULL.”

“Exactly”.
