Even if nobody asked…..
1. “Hey, he’s not even that good looking”. My wife Trish seeing a random player with his helmet off at the Super Bowl, as if being good looking is a requirement of being a good player. Let’s call it the Tom Brady effect.
2. It’s easier to go from failure to success than it is from excuse to success.
3. “First rule: Do not use semicolons. They are transvestite hermaphrodites representing absolutely nothing. All they do is show you’ve been to college.” – Kurt Vonnegut
4. My favorite Super Bowl commercial was the one where Patrick Mahomes keeps getting sacked and throwing interceptions. Classic. (I've written this elsewhere if it sounds familiar. So now I'm quoting myself, Lord help us!)
5. If you’re a true leader you create more leaders, not more followers.
6. If Jesus reveals one great insight about genius, it is that empathy is the highest form of intelligence. (HT: Erwin McManus)
7. Trish: “Hey that Eagles coach looks like Aaron Rodgers, are they related?”
8. “Big secrets turn us into small men.”
9. No leader can be truly successful who considers the present task a stepping-stone. You can’t be distracted by the future and effective in the present.
10. The best way to determine how someone learns or communicates is to ask them to describe their most recent vacation in detail. AUDITORY people will tell you about the sounds and what they talked about. VISUAL people will describe how it looked and what they saw. KINESTHETIC people will share with you how they felt and what emotions were stirred. Doing this also makes you a better listener. Give it a try.
Thanks as always for reading, commenting and sharing……
