Even if nobody asked…..

1. My always clever brother Daniel has a way of complimenting a guy on his fashion taste that lands somewhere between a slap and a hug. “Nice shirt, did you buy that new?” Or, if the shirt is working a little overtime, “Nice shirt, they didn’t have your size?” Use at your own risk.

2. “Good to see you back in the game. You’ve been kicking up dust and dirt with your hooves long enough.” My son Taylor, welcoming me back to a productive routine.

3. Your only hope in suffering is that it’s NOT an accident. Ponder THAT!

4. At some point, price put on a blazer and became 'price point'. Same number, more syllables, less clarity. Why?!?!

5. Is it OK to keep the bathroom door open when you’re home alone and no one is expected? (Asking for a friend.)

6. “God knows my heart.” Oh boy, does He ever. Be careful throwing that line around with too much hope and pride.

7. Where you plant in tears, you harvest in joy. God does His best work in the soil we’d rather avoid.

8. My three-year-old grandson Mac, after hearing about the passing of a great aunt: “Oh come on now!” Honest, unfiltered, and it made us all smile.

9. The measure of an eternally fruitful life is not medals, awards, or bank accounts. It’s scars. What you carry tells the real story.

10. I once launched a pull hook into a full parking lot at Wannamoisett Country Club. The caddy couldn’t find the ball, so I dropped and played on. When I got back to my car, I found the ball sitting in the backseat of my Audi A8 W12 (car flex). I had my Pro V1 back, but no longer had a rear windshield. Out of all those cars, I hit my own. I declared this my first hole in one.
