Even if nobody asked….
1. Hope is the finest expression of anticipation. And it anchors the soul.

4. Definition of a paradox: my wife returns more clothes than she buys.
5. Pretty sure Kevin Reddington and Tim Watz have never been seen in the same room at the same time.
6. There is nothing worse than a bad Best Man speech and nothing better than a great one. I saw TWO great ones in the same wedding this week. BAM!
7. No streaming network can claim the success of HBO’S Sunday night programming: Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, The Leftovers, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Sucsssion, True Detective.
I’m not sure Lanterns will prove worthy of this acclaimed list.
8. When I sold Shamrock Home Loans in late 2023 nearly all the employees went on to the new company. One that DIDN’T was our general council. He was young, super talented, humble and smart – just an incredible asset – so it really hurt to part ways with him.
Last night in Crestwood, KY I officiated his wedding. Yeah, I’m that kind of blessed.
9. Best advice I give myself on my wiser days: don’t voice a compliant – of any kind, at any point and don’t dwell – or bring voice! – to things you could have done differently or better.
10. I drive a fairly good sized car so when a car rental company leaves me with a tiny vehicle as my only option I drive like I’m amongst tanks and 18 wheelers on tiny side roads. I virtually duck as I drive the interstates.
Good news is, the little helper in the seat next to me does an even more thorough job with unsolicited input, warnings and aggressive flinching. Just like we were on some kind of thrill ride at an amusement park.
